Sofía Vergara is back on the dating scene—and it seems to be going well.
The Modern Family alum opened up about her new single life during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, noting that she wants to spend more time in New York City, among other things, to find a man.
“I love it. Who doesn’t love New York City? The people, it’s the energy,” she said. “I think that you have more options with men, also.”
Vergara, who lives in Los Angeles most of the time, added: “I’m single now, so in New York there are more people. There’s not only actors or writers or directors, I think there’s a bigger [pool]. I’m going to spend more time in New York.”
Another reason to stay in New York? the food. “There’s great food for when you go out on dates. It’s better, yes,” Vergara said.
Vergara, who stars in the upcoming Netflix series Griselda—about real-life Colombian cartel boss Griselda Blanco—has been single for several months now, having announced her separation from husband Joe Manganiello last summer. The actors had been married for seven years.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” Vergara and Manganiello said in a joint statement last July. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
